Nearly 4000 members of the Pennsylvania National Guard are preparing to go to Iraq. The 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team has received its mobilization order, and is expected to deploy this winter on what's likely to be a year-long mission. Members of the 56th come from cities and towns all across Pennsylvania. We plan to follow members of the brigade, as well as their families and communities, throughout this deployment, in a series called "Impacts of War."
